  • There are some people who will want to take the Intro to 3D Printing Class to get a full understanding of the design and use of a 3D printer. These classes are presented to teach many people at a time.
  • It will be necessary to be trained in the use of the 3D printer with a 1 on 1 overview of the UltiMaker II and MatterControl Delta 3D printers
    • How does each 3D printer work
    • Proper use and control of each 3D printer
    • Discussion of the software that creates the files and how the files are accessed on the 3D printer
    • What is expected of each user of the 3D printer
    • How to change filaments
    • How to troubleshoot problems and report problems that cannot be resolved
  • One of the members who is trained in the use of the 3D printer and certified will do a peer certification to validate all of the above using a 3D printer certification form
    • The form will be signed and dated by the member who just got certified
    • The form will be signed and dated by the 3D certified member
    • The form will be retained by MakeICT
    • The new certified member will be entered on the FabLab 3D Printer approved user section on the Wiki
  • It is the responsibilty of all certified 3D printer users to review any published information at the 3D printer area
  • It is the responsibilty of all certified 3D printer users to update their certification if there are any changes that require any new forms to be signed
  • Failure to comply with the 3D printer certification rules could have there certification revolked
