==Duties and Responsibilities==

*Recruit members to the committee to complete the work that needs to be done.
*Manage the Schedule for Classroom Reservations
*Collect any monies and manage deposits which the rental of classrooms may generate and deliver those monies to the Treasurer
*Produce and deliver within one week of the close of an outside party reservation a reimbursement of deposit taken or a letter itemizing deductions from the deposit, a copy of which must be kept on file for a period no less than 5 years
*Enforce a Terms of Use contract with all reserving parties, a copy of which must be kept on file for a period no less than 5 years
*Keep the classrooms in good working order and adequate condition for use
*Confirm that members and non-members using the classrooms are abiding by MakeICT policies
*Confirm that classrooms are left clean and ready for use
*Coordinate with the Facilities Committee to have any repairs to the classrooms completed in a timely manner.
*Produce a monthly report of reservations, money collected, and deposits returned or kept to be summarized in a report to the BOD at the monthly meeting

Maker Monday is our open house event.

Our tours are free and open to the public. While you are welcome to just show up, we prefer that you register in advance so we have enough members on hand to assist with our tours. Sessions are the 2nd and 4th Mondays of the month at 7:00pm.

If you wish to begin your membership at Maker Monday we will have members here to sign you up.

You are welcome to hang out and chat after your tour. There’s always something interesting going on at Maker Monday!

Authorization for Use of Gammill Quilting Machine

We have a Gammill Premier Plus machine - 18-8 (with stitch regulator) with a Vision 2.0 12’ fixed arm quilting frame

The machine is not computerized. To do that we would need to add a Statler Stitcher. It has a ruler table, as well as a laser guide for patterns/pantographs. We have several rulers and a number of pantographs that are available for use.

None of the materials may be removed from the makerspace. Availability of the machine is based on [https://makeict.org/longarm/ reservation] which is not to exceed 5 days without prior approval. Machine is for use by members only.

Considerations regarding use of the machine:

#Confirmation that the member has sufficient sewing and basic quilt top construction knowledge to prevent damage to the machine. This includes cutting, piecing, seam width and pressing. Peer review by lead or assistant lead will be required.

Note: Quilting Classes including Piecing 101 which includes proper cutting and assembling techniques will be offered if requested.

The communications committee helps spread the word about the great things going on at MakeICT. We help keep our members and fans in the loop about what's going on, and work to increase our reach so new people hear about us.

*Create consistent routes of communications between MakeICT leaders and members
*Maintain social media presence with various methods in order to engage members and the public alike
*Gather stories about our coolest tools, events, programs and makers

*Promote MakeICT's community involvement
*Organize press releases for important events
*Help the Board, Area Leads and other leaders of MakeICT share ideas and information that benefits all areas
*Create signs, flyers, and brochures for marketing
