== New Business==
*New Building Q&A
**If we added one new area, what would it be?
***A Meeting Room
****Long-Standing policy - if a member wants to have a meeting and is in good standing, they do not have to charge for a meeting room
**A maker store (place for makers to sell their stuff)
**Glass Blowing Area
**A Community Garden
***Already has a lot of people interested
**A Graffiti Park
***May not go over well with neighbors
**A Commercial Kitchen
***Logan Pagunnin has offered the use of his kitchen
***Could be a big liability
**Fire Pit/Outdoor Lounge Area
***Would have to fence off that area
**An Autoshop
***Could get a grant from the department of transportation
***Volunteer opportunity to repair cars for veterans
**A/V Studio/Music Studio
**Ham Radio Station
**Roof Based Observatory
**Paint Booth

*Still have zoning to deal with before we can get zoning taken care of.

*Neighbors have been happy with us for taking care of the property

*Next big event will be a Maker Garage Sale
**WIll need to get a lot more stuff from Makers
**Will have to advertise the garage sale
**The sale will help cover the cost of the move
**Acceptable to sell something made by a maker
***Would use as a draw a larger crowd for the sale
**Waiting for zoning to progress before we have the sale
**This is not a rummage sale

*Rusty needs help with refurbishing the firetruck
**Rusty to post the nights he’s up there https://talk.makeict.org/t/logans-fire-truck-part-2/3883
**Logan has a parade on the 26th we need to get

Made a change to the minutes. Our vote was to have Brodrick amend his proposal to match the (longer) term that Evan had offered, not the other way around. We were looking to be able to compare contracts with similar terms, as well as have them for the longer ~1.5 years that Evan was offering, rather than the shorter term in Brodrick's original proposal.

== General Information ==

MakeICT's Jewelry Lab is located behind the kitchen/vending area. It is open to all members at all times (unless there is a class in session)
If you have any issues with Jewelry Lab equipment, please send an e-mail to [mailto:david@makeict.org david@makeict.org]. The Area Lead for the Jewelry Lab is David Springs [mailto:david@makeict.org david@makeict.org], and the Assistant Lead is Jeremiah Burian
[mailto:jeremiahburian@makeict.org jeremiahburian@makeict.org]
== Access Policy ==
{{:Jewelry Lab_Access_Policy}}

==Jewelry Lab Safety==

# You are welcome to use any of the tools or equipment in the Jewelry Lab, with the exception of the OxyPropane torch, as long as you can do so safely. If there's something you don't know how to do safely or without damaging the equipment, please ask before using. You can always ask questions on the forum [http://makeict.org/forum ask for help].
# Do not use any machine that is not in good working order. Stop, unplug and leave a note on the machine and notify [mailto:david@makeict.org Jewelry Lab].
# Never assume a tool is properly adjusted; always check the tool prior to use.
# Never modify or hack any equipment.
# If something is wrong, leave a note in an obvious place on the troubled equipment and e-mail [mailto:david@makeict.org david@makeict.org].
# The proposed access policy for using the OxyPropane torch is as follows: We require that you be checked out on the torch by a qualified torch user before becoming a qualified user. In the meantime, you may make use of the standard propane torch in the Jewelry Lab.

== Equipment List ==

# 4 ton "A Frame" hydraulic press
# Ring Stretcher/Shrinker
# 1 ton Arbor Press
# Smith "Little Torch" - currently using Oxygen/Propane
# Dremel Electric Belt/Disc Sander
# Electric Buffing/Grinding Wheel
# Dremel Electric Rotary Tool, on loan from ERP Lab (Thanks, James)
# Assorted hand tools for jewelry work
# (Unfinished) Centrifugal Casting Apparatus for small items (rings, pendants)

== What We Need ==

Our A-frame press, ring stretcher/shrinker, grinder/polisher, and mandrel are all on loan from a member, and replacing those items with MakeICT-owned
equipment should be a priority. The ring stretcher/shrinker in particular has been heavily used, and is a low-end version never really designed for such
heavy use.

We are currently in need of many items normally found in a properly-equipped jewelry design and repair shop. Donations of tools, jewelry, materials, and findings are greatly appreciated. We desperately need an assortment of findings and parts for fabricating small jewelry. Silver wire, silver sheet stock, and scrap silver would make it a much better lab. We are also seeking people with experience in jewelry work to teach small classes (usually limited to six people, because the lab is small) in their area of talent, interest, or expertise. If you can give of your time and talent for a class, please contact David Springs [mailto:david@makeict.org david@makeict.org]. With your help, we can have an awesome resource for jewelry making here at MakeICT!

== What We Need ==
