Tower of Hanoi

Advanced Preparation:

• Check to see if prepared kits are available, if not check the following:
  • Check that all the materials, equipment and kits are available (contact Outreach if they are not)
  • Cut the pieces on the laser cutter (if needed) files
  • Print the instructions if needed

Activity Sheet

Materials and Equipment list:

• Laser Cut Tower of Hanoi pieces (Masonite)
• Game Instructions
• 1.5" dowels (3 per kit)
• Glue-Up Kit

• Painting Kit

Detailed Instructions:

1. Paint the round disks and the top layer of the base using acrylic paint. Start with top layer of the base first.
   1. Paint a thin layer of paint to seal the Masonite (white is good for light colors)
   2. Let dry
   3. Paint a second coat of white or of the color you want
   4. Let dry
   5. Paint a final coat
   6. Let dry
2. Dry fit the pegs into the holes to make sure they fit
3. Glue the bottom two layers to the top of the base and glue the pegs into the holes (see picture)
   
4. When the glue and paint is dry, place the discs on one of the pegs to complete the game assembly
