Advanced Preparation
- Check to see if prepared kits are available, if not check the following:
- Check that all items on the Materials and Equipment list are available (contact Outreach if they are not)
- Cut the pieces on the laser cutter (if needed) files (2 min/game)
- Print the instructions, if needed
- Print the game instructions, if needed
- Review the presentation slide (add to your deck if needed)
- Completed example
Activity Sheet
Materials and Equipment:
- Laser Cut Tower of Hanoi pieces (Masonite)
- Game Instructions
- 1.5" dowels (3 per kit)
- Glue-Up Kit
- Painting Kit
- Activity Instruction Sheet
- Game Instructions Sheet
Detailed Instructions:
- Paint the round disks and the top layer of the base using acrylic paint. Start with top layer of the base first.
- Paint a thin layer of paint to seal the Masonite (white is good for light colors)
- Let dry
- Paint a second coat of white or of the color you want
- Let dry
- Paint a final coat
- Let dry
- Dry fit the pegs into the holes to make sure they fit
- Glue the bottom two layers to the top of the base and glue the pegs into the holes (see picture)
- When the glue and paint is dry, place the discs on one of the pegs to complete the game assembly
