Weed Killer Recipe

1. Ingredients List
   1. 3 Tbs Sea Salt
   2. 2 Qt 30% Vinegar
   3. 1 Tbs Dish Soap
   4. Water to Dilute (Concentration depends on weeds, bindweed will likely need a high percentage of weed killer)

Composting Class

1. Concerns with current compost set up
   1. Aaron believes that a bonfire will be a good way to kill bindweed in the compost pile
      1. Matthew suggested that we utilize bonfire for Oktoberfest activity.
      2. Ash will serve as a good source of browns for compost
      3. >140°F will kill bindweed and bindweed seeds
2. Bonda suggests that the committee invest in a 3-bin composting solution
3. Bonda also suggested that the team utilize a leaf corral to collect stray leaves
4. Terms
   1. Green = Nitrogen
   2. Brown = Carbon
5. Team might be able to get free pallets from Evergreen in Wichita
   1. These can be used to build composting containers
   2. A perforated PVC pipe in the middle of the compost will aid in aeration
6. Team should utilize Tools and Trade event for more tools
7. Aaron would like to utilize the heat generated by decomposing manure and hay to heat the greenhouse
