General Notes

1. Breakfast hosted by Riverside
2. Discussion led by Ben Herzog (sp?)
   1. Discussion was a great resource
   2. Bee city will be hosting a day to educate people about native bees. Team will have to look into this
   3. The Garden Committee will have to work on keeping possible disease and weeds out of the compost pile
   4. Cover crops will be utilized for overwintering the garden
      1. Red clover could work
      2. List of good cover crops given in 'Kansas Garden Guide'
   5. Leave some dead plants on beds over winter to promote beneficial insects
   6. 80% of native bees makes nests below ground.
