Metalshop Meetup February 2nd 2024
Attendees:

Purpose of the meeting:
- To get familiar with the new lead - Larry Meeks - and discuss how what direction we want to take the metalshop in the coming year.
- Thank you to everyone that attended and showing how awesome MakeICT really is!
Tool Workflow
- Equipment is being reorganized to support the more popular work flows in the metalshop. In example, pedestal mounted tools are being moved into the welding area to help reduce movement between the welding area and part preparation.
Hot Shop Cleanup
- Most of the night was spent reorganizing tools and equipment
The New Big Giant Sand Blaster
- Larry Meeks has made progress on getting the big sandblaster up and running. The machine should be ready soon
Big Green oven
- The big green oven does work but is being shuffled around from the welding side of the shop to closer to the powder coating equipment.
