- Get a broom and dustpan from the janitorial closet
- Move furniture out of the way as neeeded
- Sweep
- Empty dustpan into trash can as needed
- Move furniture back to its original configuration
- Take trash out if near full
- Put broom and dustpan back in the janitorial closet
