Slicing

STL files can be sliced using MatterControl on the design PC in the Fab Lab. The generated G-Code is then saved and uploaded to Octoprint.

Printing

This printer is run using Octoprint. It can be reached at http://192.168.9.227. The username and password are 'maker'. To run a print uplaod your G-Code file using the file browser on the bottom right of the page, then click the print button when the file is done uploading.

Old

The Rostock Max V2 uses a tablet PC with built-in slicing software. To create a print, you just need to move your .STL file to the micro SD card which is plugged into the tablet.

The easiest way to do this is via the cloud service provided by MatterControl.

  1. Go to sync.mattercontrol.com
  2. Login with info@makeict.org / makeict!
  3. Find the RostockMax v2 and click "Add File to Queue"
  4. From the tablet itself, you can now print your STL from the queue.
