Garden Committee Meeting July 3rd 2022

In Attendance: Aaron, Scott, Jay, Gaye, Sherry, Jessica, Sarah, Ethan

Need for signage:

•For private beds (stolen cucumber!)

•For Common beds (individual plants)

•Scot and Aaron will make signs

Acceptance of volunteers.

Chance for 2 to 3 thousand dollars worth of flagstone for 4 or 5 hundred. Jay will seek individual donations.

•Fundraising options were discussed more generally. Possibilities included: individual solicitation, Events, General fundraisers, Selling produce, Approaching the board

Aaron’s plumber buddy still will do hydrant labor for free if we use his dirt guy. Aaron will solicit bids from other plumbers including Saga for the fall.

Community Bed Harvesting rules.: Ripe Harvest needs to be picked, First Come First Serve, Try to only take what you will use, Try to take in proportion to those working on the communal garden,Communal produce supplies MakeICT Garden Parties, Donations of excess harvest, ICT Community Fridge is preferred recipient

We reaffirm to have a cookout every maker Monday 6-9 (ultimate season appropriateness to be determined. Will advertise in newsletter and create event.

Sarah wants to help Sean with the calendar and some other stuff
