Background

June Huie is a long time member, volunteer and instructor with MakeICT. Although currently serving as the lead in the textile area, she has a significant background in a variety of technology related areas. Her interest in innovative project development using various disciplines available at the space opens up exciting collaboration opportunities.

Focusing on creative use of available tools including the various machines in the textile area; for design and stitching, the FabLab, 3D printers, foam and laser cutters, the wood shop, metal shop, jewelry lab and even ceramics can product something, beautiful, elegant and practical.

As the retired Director of IT for a large local law firm, a former college instructor in technology, the owner and principal consultant of Huie BizTech Consulting, working in diverse industries, June brings a unique set of skills to MakeICT projects including cybersecurity, design integrity, material utilization function, printing, and accessibility.
