Meeting Times
On May 1st, we will have a volunteer meeting where we will assign jobs to all who are willing. We would like to play to your strengths, so if you want a certain job, we hope to align you with whatever you like to do.
On the morning of May 18th, at 11:00 AM, we will have a brief before-event meeting to make sure everyone knows what they need to do and to cover any last minute issues that may arise.
Jobs
The needed jobs and descriptions are as follows:
- Greeters: You will guide people from the entrance and hallway to Rooms 3 and 4 to see the other vendors available, the vendors outside, to the end of the hallway for a tour, or to the bathroom. Whatever they need for directions, these should be the most common questions you should have to answer!
- Parking: Guiding people into a spot to help with space preservation.
- Tours: We need knowledgeable members to alternate with each other for giving tours. One Tour Guide will sit at the end of the hallway and “collect” people, chit chat with them and get their interests, the other Tour Guide will be on a tour with their group, and then they will switch once one tour is over.
- Floaters: You will need to be flexible to cover wherever you are needed, and/or to be able to follow the tours in the back to keep an eye on anyone who may wander away or answer questions if asked.
Grow The Space/Community Through Support
It’s vital that we have volunteers for our very space to run, let alone the events we have the chance to make happen. You are an important part of our team for every event and we are so incredibly thankful for everything you do. Your willingness to help in any way you can in turn fosters a community of people we can all rely on to bring our visions to life. We want to continue to foster the type of community that everyone would want to be a part of: one full of excellent people.
